College football is the one sport where everybody complains, “There’s no parity.”  “It’s the same teams every year at the top and it gets soooo boring!” Except when South Carolina steps up and beats Alabama; Georgia can barely tie its own shoes; Oregon decided to have an offense; Stanford figured out how to play; and Texas/Notre Dame/Penn State all suck mightily. Yeah, that’s boring.  Right? College football has parity every year, and college football has playoff games every year.  That’s not what we call them because of the BCS, but there are playoff games and signs of parity all over…

I’ve read a few articles in cyberspace lately that suggest the Lakers won’t be able to replace Kobe Bryant.  Really?  This is all you have to talk about? No great team walks around thinking they can just magically replace a star athlete.  When that star athlete is a top-five all-time player then the task would just become harder. “Hey kid, we’re drafting you as long as you morph into Kobe, ok?”  Does anyone every really receive that call on draft day, and is a GM actually stupid enough to make it? I don’t think so. There’s more than one way…

It’s easy to spend three hours getting ready in the bathroom for a night out with your guy. But when he cancels thirty minutes prior because he has to work late, you’re sitting there on the couch—black dress, nails painted, hair done-up, perfume-ready—highly disappointed. It’s not only the fact that he canceled but the preparation it took to look your best which leads me to the topic of this article: stop sweating the small stuff! Of course men like their women to be beautiful and sexy, but believe or not they don’t really care about the little things we tend…

In the most recent surgery they found a malignant growth, and Gwynn had the following to say on Friday, “They took out three lymph nodes and did all the tests and the results showed cancer in the parotid.” Gwynn, 50-years-old, is faced with radiation and chemotherapy treatments. For many American men, Shaharoh gives the advice that if the woman desperately wants to share that experience with her man to take up interest in the game.  That is fine, but if you choose to follow that advice, you have to go all-in. There is nothing worse than watching a game with a woman and she keeps making annoying references to pop culture trash he cares nothing about – this is his time and you want to be apart of it.  When a woman constantly says stuff like: “I can’t believe that Reggie and Kim broke up” or “Jessica…

I was thinking today, after reading my article about sobriety and all the great responses I have gotten, that it is all about where your head is . I mean what is your mind state, people can achieve based on thoughts and mind clarity . If your dedicated and vigilant you can accomplish almost anything. I have stated this in many articles, especially when it comes to things such as  lifting , because mental focus is always the difference. Now I wonder what that means when your head is not where it is suppose to be. This is in combination with “Sober…

Couch Potato Blitz Quickly, let’s review week four of the NFL. The Colts got beat by a guy at QB who looks like an offensive linemen. The Titans defense had a letdown in the fourth quarter and defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil gave the refs the international Quarterbacks If you have a tough start at the QB position this week you might want to look towards the Detroit Lions’ Shaun Hill. Think of Hill like taking the chubby girl to prom; she might not look as good, but she probably puts out.  Hill plays the Rams this weekend and he has had two games…
