Hopefully your team got off to a good start because the divisions are getting tighter than Shaq in one of Ryan Seacrest’s suits. Week 10 also marks the end of bye weeks. Byes can be inconvenient for fantasy football owners – as if they need a week off work when they only work five months a year, the audacity. If you are a You ever see the final three of a beauty contest and think, “I would take any of them?” This weekend your…
The NBA has been thrown for a loop. Some teams that are supposed to be great are just good. Some teams that are supposed to be ok are great. Frankly, it’s getting hard for me to sort out. Are the Hornets for real or is Chris Paul just trying to raise his stock? Is Carmelo Anthony giving up on the Nuggets in a very subtle way? What’s the deal with Chris Bosh, and, is his huge salary even helping the Heat? Without further ado, here are the puzzling power rankings for the middle of November. Who would’ve thought we’d be…
Chiropractic care deals with manipulating the back to help the nerves flow throughout the body. A bodybuilder experiences great relief when a chiropractor treats his back. Finding the chiropractor or chiropractic clinic that works best for you plays an important part in getting the most out of your chiropractic treatments. Decide what type of chiropractor technique you like best. Familiarity with chiropractic care helps you know which technique you like the most. Some chiropractors use their hands to manipulate the spine, whereas others use an instrument. Some apply deeper, joint-popping adjustment and others apply low force adjusting. Ask your friends,…
Sometimes I wish someone would just draw me a picture. I mean, we’ve got Hockey, College and Pro Football, College and Pro Basketball, the Olympics around the corner, we’re giving out postseason awards in Baseball, the BCS is about to be screwed, Allen Iverson just decided he doesn’t feel like being a reserve, Syracuse lost to Lemoyne (whoever that is), and the NFL makes no sense. Let me show you how ridiculous this mess is… Here’s a “real” power ranking from this week (not mine, on the left) and mine (on the right): 1. Saints …
Couch Potato Blitz: Week 10 Predictions NFL week 10 has the potential for more drama than can be scripted when you stick a bunch of horribly stereotyped Italians in a house ( a la Jersey Shore). The Vikings may finally fire Brad Childress depending on the outcome of this game. Randy Moss makes his Titans debut – his third team of the season. Dallas searches for reasons not to quit on new head coach Jason Garrett. Tom Brady already outclasses Ben Roethlisberger off the field and will attempt to do it on the field. Finally, Donovan McNabb tries to prove…
Many of us know about the great health benefits of garlic, ginger, and onions, but how many know about dried spices? In 2009, spices were added to the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid because of their amazing health benefits and disease fighting properties like antioxidants and other wonderful nutrients. The ancient world used and lived by spices and now they have come back and research has proven why spices have been around for centuries. Many spices can replace supplements and offer you all the vitamins you need in their natural form. When foods are in their natural form, your body absorbs the…
The starting quarterback for the New Orleans Saints is not your typical quarterback. He stands at 6 feet and 209 pounds, which is 3 inches shorter and 11 pounds lighter than average for the position. However, he does not let that get in his way. The Wall Street Journal quoted Brees as saying, “The body will only go as far as the mind will take it.” His workouts are not your typical day at the gym. You will not find him bench pressing 250 pounds; instead you will find Drew Brees challenging his body in new and innovative ways. Some…

I absolutely can’t believe that my newborn is now four weeks old. Things in our family feel normal again, having gotten back to the routine of playing with children, school, work, and taking care of a tiny babe. I’ve even started cooking and cleaning again. Not really fun, but necessary! I’ve struggled a little mentally in the last two weeks. I’m doing everything right technically, and losing weight at an OK pace, but I’m just not feeling strong and fit yet. Normally after a couple of weeks, I’ll feel like the smaller person I am inside. I’m just not there…
