Bodybuilders love to breathe fresh air; it helps them maintain energy and a healthy glow. A two-year study conducted by NASA proves that houseplants clean up to 87% of the air pollutants in the air of an average home. Just as nature intended, plants in the home can filter the air that we breathe. Plants can take any stale indoor room, purify it, and renew it. The plants filter out the toxins, pollutants and carbon dioxide. That is very important to any person, like a bodybuilder, who wants to live a healthier life. The idea of using indoor plants as…

Jason “Mayhem” Miller is one of the most popular fighters outside of the UFC.  He has gained notoriety by not only compiling an excellent 22-6 record, and he also hosts the MTV show, Bully Beatdown, where MMA fighters challenge bullies to a fight.  While Mayhem has a great sports personality, what truly sticks him out from the pack are his fight entrances. Miller not only tries to win fights, his main goal is to entertain the fans.  His ring entrances are more based on WWE fighters than traditional mixed martial artists.  He has done everything from choreographed dances with Japanese…

Believe it or not Bodybuilders enjoy Archery in their free time because Archery seems like an easy sport, but actually requires a fit body and a keen mind.  Nothing better than working the mind after lifting the weights. Archery is wonderful at training the mind to concentrate and not hold back. Warming up and stretching before shooting reduces tension in the body and prevents injury.  Take the time to stretch before picking up the bow and arrow, so you concentrate better and feel better while you make the bulls-eye. Make sure you have a warmed up body.  Bodies stretch better…

Ever since 1998, when Tennessee defeated Florida State 23-16 in the Fiesta Bowl, the Bowl Championship Series, or BCS, has run rampant on college football.  It was supposed to deliver a clear cut national champion, #1 vs. #2, in a no holds barred, winner take all battle.  The reasoning was to pit the best of the best, instead of a bunch of “disorganized, haphazard bowl selections where some bowls were making decisions on who to invite after seven or eight games of the regular season.”  In short, it was supposed to be a positive for the sport. Instead, all it…

This week’s madness comes courtesy of the Yanks/Phillies World Series (the Turnpike Series for my faithful readers), a screwed up BCS, the opening week of the NBA, and NFL picks that I, well, I’m not particularly proud of.  Needless to say, this is the craziest week I’ve had since I started here and I didn’t quite see it coming.  I mean, for so long everything was massively predictable and I felt invincible making broad proclamations about how Tim Tebow was messed up in the head, the SEC was indirectly rigging games through poor officiating, the NFL was all good and…

It is possible to build a muscular body through isometric training only, which involves muscle clenching repetitively. There are machines that work on some body parts to improve their tone, such as abdominal pads. These pads may also be used on the buttock and thigh muscles. They send an electronic signal to the muscle for it to clench and release repetitively. These expensive machines work to tone the body. Repetitive clenching and release of the muscle will eventually cause the body part to tone. This can be useful for those people who want to improve their muscle tone before they…

Few undrafted quarterbacks in NFL history have faced the type of pressure and scrutiny that Tony Romo has. When Romo burst onto the scene in 2006, he was a nobody from Eastern Illinois University who was given the task of replacing veteran Drew Bledsoe when highly touted prospect Drew Henson failed to meet expectations. He quickly became a fan favorite when he lead the team to five wins in his first six starts and eventually helped the Cowboys clinch a postseason birth. But just as quickly as the fans and media fell in love with the San Diego native, they turned on him and…

It is virtually impossible to spot reduce or lose weight through repetitive movements on any part of the body. Spot reducing will not reduce fat from the parts of the body that contain excess fat like the abdominals, for example. Performing hundreds, even thousands of sit-ups or crunches will not burn fat from the area. In fact, you would have to perform about 200,000 crunches to lose one pound of fat, but that is a ridiculous number. It is important, however, to burn off fat in a healthy way through watching the diet or calorie counting and taking up resistance…

In the far Corner we have the 0-6 Titans who I heard (for the first time) described as “bad” on the radio yesterday and in the Near Corner we have the 6-0 Denver Broncos.  Only club can be labeled “Most Surprising Team After 7 Weeks.”  Who will it be??? Honestly, I think this is one of those fights that nobody wants to win.  Tennessee has no desire to be the “surprise crap team” of the league.  Denver has no desire to be the “surprise good team of the league” either.  Think about it.  IF you’re Tennessee you have to admit…

Three weeks and at least as many blown calls in the SEC.  We’ve had an entire officiating crew get suspended and the entire landscape of college football by the bad job they did two weeks in a row.  The bad jobs of only a few people mind you. Florida probably should have lost to Arkansas and then again they could have lost to Mississippi State.  The Razorbacks and the Bulldogs had the Gators on the ropes and in both games poor officiating played a significant part in deciding the outcome of the game.  I think the one that burns me…
