There have been 6 big UFC events, 1 ultimate fight night and a TUF finale since the media frenzy that was UFC 100. In my opinion, UFC 107 is the best card that the UFC has put on since that famed UFC 100 show this past July. From top to bottom, it is full of very exciting fights and intriguing matchups. I have been eagerly awaiting its arrival for quite a while now, having the promotional wallpaper as the background of my computer desktop for over a month. Since Delphi has already written a very good analysis, I don’t feel…
Quick picks: o Penn over Sanchez at -275 risking 3 units to win 1.09 units. o Cheick Kongo for the upset over Mir at +185 risking 2 units to win 3.7 units. Some fun prop bets: BetCRIS has some interesting prop bets that should be considered. I’ve taken the following (all are at .25 units a piece): o Kongo/Mir get fight of the night at +750 to win 1.875 o Belcher/Gouveia get fight of the night at +750 to win 1.875 o Nelson/Wiman get fight of the night at +750 to win 1.875 o Penn/Sanchez fight ends in Rd2 at…

Women come in an array of shapes and sizes, some are curvy and only need to look at a piece of cake to put weight on, and others eat loads but are unable to add sexy muscle mass. Are you aware that the exercises you perform may either help or conflict with your body type. Some women head to the gym with hope that they will slim down to a perfect ten, fit into their skinny jeans, and succeed. Others perform the wrong exercises and end up bulkier because they are performing the wrong kind of exercise. This is where…
Mixed Martial Rant: A Nightmare on Penn St, UFC 107, TUF Finals, Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell
A lot to touch upon this time around with the TUF finals in the books and the upcoming ppv featuring BJ Penn defending his lightweight belt against Diego Sanchez. I’ll also discuss the recent announcement of The Ultimate Fighters season 11 coaching decision. -A “Nightmare” on Penn street. At UFC 107 in Memphis, one man looks to continue cementing his legacy as one of the best lightweight champions of all time. Another man seeks to begin his. Reflecting on the weekend that was in sports I’d have to say that I learned a few lessons about sports and I’m going to share them with you today…not because I think you don’t know them, but just in case you don’t know them (or at the very least so you can laugh at me for not knowing this sooner. Come on, I’ve got to be entertaining here!) The lessons were hard, sometimes painful, amusing, horrifying, and sobering all at the same time. It’s not every weekend in sports that you have everything blow up in your face all at…
With the College Football season on “Pause” until January what are we going to do? I mean, there’s plenty of stuff to talk about in College Football and now they’re going to make us wait until January to get another fix? What’s up with that?! Well, I’m going to talk about it anyways…so HA! We’re all set with the BCS bowl line-up and now all we have to do is wait to see how these games will shake out (and if Brian Kelly is going to Notre Dame.) Rose Bowl – Oregon vs. Ohio State: Well, Ohio State’s in the…
Police arrested 40 people on Wednesday morning in a major steroid raid. This shows a country-wide organization of steroids and money laundering in Sweden. I am an amateur mixed martial arts writer, I don’t have a degree in journalism and I’ve never done any professional writing. That’s what makes the last 24 hours so special. Last night at about midnight I received an e-mail with an invitation to the Strikeforce teleconference. All four fighters in the main event for this card were available for interview. This included former middleweight champion and actor Cung Le, his opponent Scott Smith, lightweight champion Josh Thomson and his opponent, interim lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez. For me, this was incredibly surreal. My only contact thus far with fighters was…
