Results of a study conducted by a group of Australian scientists show that consumption of alcohol in moderate amounts can reduce the risk of impotence in men. In order to demonstrate his correctness the specialist presents the results…
So I have been chatting with a lifting guru while on facebook and he really knows his stuff. So I asked him if he would like to appear on my blog as a personal trainer, and hand out some free advice. And since the goal here is to get as buff and as educated as possible, he was all in. While he isn’t into juicing, which is perfectly ok, he is into lifting . So I introduce Amer The Hammer. AMER THE HAMMER is a drug free fitness model, bodybuilder, and a professional model who has been featured in magazines and…
Coming off a stunning knockout against one of Russia’s most dominate fighters, Fedor Emelianenko looks to be unstoppable in his weight class. He has only lost once due to a cut, and that was in 2000. Twenty-six more fights and nine years after his first and only defeat, Fedor looks like he is the best pound for pound heavy weight fighter. Even his decision victories have been unanimous, defeating amazing athletes like Mirko Cro Cop and Antonio Nogueira (twice). So who, in my opinion, can defeat Fedor? If you’re thinking Brock Lesnar, you’re wrong. Lesnar is simply a hyped up…
As you may or may not have know, Bas Rutten became the trainer of Kimbo Slice’s MMA game just before Kimbo’s big loss to Seth Petruzelli. Since then, Bas has hanged up the gloves on Slice and will no longer be his trainer. Here is a quote from Bas on the subject – Props to Fightlinker You’ve worked closely with Kimbo Slice. When do you think we’ll see Kimbo fight again, and will you be in his corner again when he does? I stopped training Kimbo. I had him six weeks before the last fight (a loss to Seth…

Miguel Tejada has been charged with lying to congressional investigators. According to the Washington Post, Tejada is charged with making false statements to congressional investigators about conversations he had with other players about performance enhancing drugs. Tejada will reportedly plead guilty. The charge came in “a criminal information,” a document that can be filed only with the defendant’s consent and usually signals a plea deal is near. Just for the record I was totally against the idea of writing about Alex Rodriguez for 3 reasons- 1. He is a member of the NY Yankees 2. He is barely a man in my eyes 3. He plays third base for the NY Yankees ( guess what team I like,”GO RED SOX) But after watching Peter Gammons’ interview with A-Rod, I decided ok it is time for me to speak out. First off I want to say that Hank Steinbrenner is a big mouth idiot, his dad was a big mouth but at least he had proved his worth.…
Mixed Martial Arts is a combination of many different fighting styles and techniques. The orginal fighting styles and techniques must be altered to achieve maximum effectiveness in MMA. What works in a wrestling match doesn’t necessarily work exactly the same way in MMA. One great example is the difference between MMA stand up and boxing. What is the difference between the stand up technique needed for MMA and the technique of a top level boxer? Marcus Davis gives some insight: “One is the way you stand,” Davis said. “The way everyone stands so upright and staggered. You need to square your hips to…
Alex Rodriguez admitted using a “banned substance” from 2001 to 2003 while playing for the Texas Rangers. Just 48 hours after Sports Illustrated’s Selena Roberts and David Epstein reported that Rodriguez had tested positive for two anabolic steroids, testosterone and Primobolan, in 2003’s MLB “survey” testing, Rodriguez was interviewed by ESPN’s Peter Gammons. “When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day. Back then, [baseball] was a…
