According to Sherdog.com, Phil Baroni has joined the Michael Bisping’s training camp out in Las Vegas, NV to help him prepare for his UFC 100 fight with Dan Henderson.  It seems from some of the comments he made, he wasn’t very confident in Bisping’s skills until he actually had a chance to roll with him.  It also seems that he doesn’t like Dan Henderson very much. Here’s what Baroni said about Michael Bisping: “The guy’s a lot better than I thought,” said Baroni. “I wrestled and rolled with him, and he’s hard as f— to take down, hard to hold…

Main Event: Diego Sanchez defeats Clay Guida via split decision. Round one, Sanchez storms in and the two trade like crazy until Sanchez brings mad upper cuts and fazes Guida.  Sanchez keeps Guida up against the cage and just brings the punches and flying knees like crazy.  Guida gets a take down and Sanchez brings a little ground and pound as he pushes Sanchez against the fence.  Sanchez stands up and kicks Guida in the face, drops him!  Guida stands back up only to eat a big knee and more punches from Sanchez.  Guida fights back but Sanchez wears him…

Duane Ludwig has been around the fight game for quite some time and will definitely have the experience advantage in this fight.  He has fought some very good fighters like BJ Penn, Tyson Griffen, and Jens Pulver.  He has also done some work in the past with American Top Team and has really improved in his takedown defense.  Duane will most certainly have the standup advantage in this fight. I see good value in Ludwig.  Villasenor’s line seems to be so high due to his record, but I think Ludwig will be able to pull this out either through a…

SteroidsLive recently had a chance to ask Gina Carano about her past discussions with the UFC and her current positioning with the Strikeforce organization. Carano explained in her own words that she feels Strikeforce is on the rise as a top notch MMA promotion and is the best place for her and other fighters to be right now. “I think that Strikeforce is coming up and (is) going to be a great vehicle for all fighters and I think it’s great because it kind of evens out the sport in a huge way also having Strikeforce and Showtime and they’re…

Kimbo Slice will get his opportunity to be in the UFC; he just has to do well on the “Ultimate Fighter” program.  Some may have the view that Kimbo being a contestant on the reality show is a negative career step.  I believe Kimbo should recognize it as an opportunity.  I am sure that he was not thrilled with finding out his only means of getting an opportunity to fight in the UFC was through the “Ultimate Fighter”, but he is a fighter and in the words of fighting legend Mike Tyson “he has to feed his family.” Reality programming…

So another UG lab goes down in Texas, what a big F’ ‘ ing surprise.  why are we even reading  this stuff, how stupid would you have to be to continue to produce steroids, when known friends were arrested. I recall about 8-9 months ago AR and others predicting that Texas would be hit hard again. And here we are, a few week removed from operation Juicey Phruit , and here we are , talking about another bust. It amazes me the level of intelligence it takes to be clueless enough to get caught now. These are the people we…

“I felt some guys I used to wrestling against in high school and lose…couldn’t take a punch.  They weren’t scrappy like me”.  This is how my interview with Calvin Kattar started off when I asked him how he was drawn into the sport of mixed martial arts. He was also lured in by watching his sisters friend David George fight who now runs the Combat Zone promotion out of New Hampshire. If you’ve seen any of Kattar’s fights (youtube them) you’ll know what he means when he says he’s scrappy.  Displaying fast hands and knockout power Calvin has won four…

I have been thinking a lot lately, and I have read a ton of hate threads about AR and a few of my other friends I associate with . I also thought about how my lack of posting of late has caused a dip in my readers, and all this combined into today’s post. The purpose of what we do. Most upstanding MOD’s , bloggers, and Vet’s , don’t get paid for their effort. They do it for the love of the game. Now the ironic thing is the dirt bag members take kick backs and bribes , so the…
