I have decided to do a brief profile on some of the more known and used steroids. I will also follow with some personal comments, and some personal experiences. I wanted to start with EQ because though it is popular, there is not much info on it as far as medical trials and it’s effect on humans, mainly because it is specifically made for horses, the reason for the name Equipoise . Equipoise – Boldenone Undecylenate is a very common veterinary anabolic steroid, derived from Testosterone, known for it’s ability to increase red blood cells, like many other steroids. Though…
Alan Belcher (+220, BetUS) vs Yoshihiro Akiyama (-250, SportBet) This is an interesting fight between the UFC staple, Alan Belcher, and the very highly touted Japanese fighter Yoshihiro Akiyama. First off, Alan Belcher is a fairly well rounded fighter with a very good Muay Thai standup style. He does a good job mixing up his striking and has great knees in the clinch. On the ground, he has his guillotine, which he used to beat Sean Salmon and Denis Kang. That being said, his UFC career has been somewhat rocky. In his UFC debut at UFC 62 he was defeated…
Brock Lesnar (-210, 5Dimes) vs Frank Mir (+190, 5Dimes) The main event of this historic UFC card is a rematch between the massively powerful wrestler and current champ Brock Lesnar and the jujitsu specialist and intern champion Frank Mir. Let’s go ahead and start the analysis with Frank Mir. Frank Mir’s past has been an interesting one to say the least. When he hit the UFC at UFC 34 he had a great run that included a highlight KO of Wes Sims and culminated in the now famous breaking of Tim Sylvia’s arm for the heavyweight title. He then suffered…
Michael Bisping is a phenomenal fighter out of the UK that won Season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter as a light heavyweight. He then went on a great run at 205lb completely destroying Eric Shafer and Elvis Sinosic. He then won a controversial split decision over Matt Hamill that many thought Hamill had won. He lost to Rashad Evans in another close split decision after that. It was that loss that motivated Bisping to drop to 185lbs. Since then, he has looked great with TKO wins over Charles McCarthy and Jason Day. He also won a dominating decision over Chris…
George St-Pierre (-270, Sportsbook) vs Thiago Alves (+260, BetCRIS) This welterweight title fight is a very interesting matchup. We have a striker turned wrestler taking on a devastating Muay Thai practitioner with a great takedown defense. George St-Pierre has been a dominating figure in the UFC’s welterweight division since his arrival at UFC 46 in 2004 where he defeated Karo Parisyan. He has had some great battles against the likes of Matt Hughes (twice), BJ Penn (twice), Matt Serra, Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck, Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, and Jason Miller. Now GSP originally came into the sport as a very…
To be honest, the Georges St. Pierre-Thiago Alves welterweight title fight at UFC 100 sells itself. But the fine marketing folks at the organization are renowned for their ability to hype up a fight, and the angle they chose going into the GSP-Alves clash was that Alves is the toughest challenge St. Pierre has faced in his career. That’s right, tougher than Matt Hughes in his prime and tougher than BJ Penn. And in reality, they might be right. Alves is the real deal; a powerful, violent striker with knockout power in his hands and especially his knees and a good matchup…
Mark Coleman (+300, BetCRIS) vs Stephan Bonnar (-325, Sportsbook) The granddaddy of GnP is taking on one of the poster boys that put the UFC on the map in this very interesting matchup. Let’s start with Mark Coleman. Mark was one of the pioneers in the sport and fought in the UFC for the first time at the UFC 10 tournament. He went on to win both the UFC 10 and 11 tournaments and become the heavyweight champion at UFC 12 by defeated Dan Severn. He then had a string of losses to Maurice Smith, Pete Williams, and Pedro Rizzo. …
Determining your body type means doing half the work towards the perfect figure. Think for yourself, can different “types” really do the same workout scheme? No they can’t, there is no doubt about that! People with different body types react differently to the same training system. An exercise perfect for one person can be useless for the other one. Each type needs a specially designed individual training program. Only such program can provide fast and effective results. Many bodybuilders spend a lot of time for the search of their own training system, but the worst thing is that ineffective trainings…
In just a little over 48 hours, the biggest fight card in UFC history will get under way. Every fight looks like a great match-up, and on top of that there are two title shots on the line. Here is an awesome preview of UFC 100 which is sure to get you amped up about Saturday if you aren’t already. I personally will be looking forward to the GSP vs. Alves fight. Both of those guys are in top physical shape, in their prime, and the two top fighters in their weight class. Check out the UFC 100 preview video…
