I have decided to do a brief profile on some of the more known and used steroids. I will also follow with some personal comments, and some personal experiences. Alan Belcher (+220, BetUS) vs Yoshihiro Akiyama (-250, SportBet) This is an interesting fight between the UFC staple, Alan Belcher, and the very highly touted Japanese fighter Yoshihiro Akiyama. First off, Alan Belcher is a fairly well rounded fighter with a very good Muay Thai standup style. He does a good job mixing up his striking and has great knees in the clinch. Brock Lesnar (-210, 5Dimes) vs Frank Mir (+190, 5Dimes) The main event of this historic UFC card is a rematch between the massively powerful wrestler and current champ Brock Lesnar and the jujitsu specialist and intern champion Frank Mir.  Let’s go ahead and start the analysis with Frank Mir. Frank Mir’s past has been an interesting one to say the least.  When he hit the UFC at UFC 34 he had a great run that included a highlight KO of Wes Sims and culminated in the now famous breaking of Tim Sylvia’s arm for the heavyweight title.  He then suffered…

Michael Bisping is a phenomenal fighter out of the UK that won Season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter as a light heavyweight.  He then went on a great run at 205lb completely destroying Eric Shafer and Elvis Sinosic.  He then won a controversial split decision over Matt Hamill that many thought Hamill had won.  He lost to Rashad Evans in another close split decision after that.  It was that loss that motivated Bisping to drop to 185lbs.  Since then, he has looked great with TKO wins over Charles McCarthy and Jason Day.  He also won a dominating decision over Chris…

George St-Pierre (-270, Sportsbook) vs Thiago Alves (+260, BetCRIS) This welterweight title fight is a very interesting matchup.  We have a striker turned wrestler taking on a devastating Muay Thai practitioner with a great takedown defense. To be honest, the Georges St. Pierre-Thiago Alves welterweight title fight at UFC 100 sells itself. But the fine marketing folks at the organization are renowned for their ability to hype up a fight, and the angle they chose going into the GSP-Alves clash was that Alves is the toughest challenge St. Pierre has faced in his career.
