Frederic Belleton Launches NoBoundary MMA

NoBoundary Press Release:

Tuesday, September 30, 2008 – EliteXC Professional MMA Fighter Frederic Belleton, a native of France and former Special Forces Officer, has launched his own Mixed Martial Arts organization in Massachusetts and has announced the first event, scheduled for October 11th, 2008 at the Jungleplex in Plymouth.

The promotion, named NoBoundary, has scheduled 12 fights for its inaugural card title “The Awakening”. Belleton says he has set up the event in a 3-tier format and is focusing everything on promoting the fighters and their camps. Tier 1, the Feature Fights, are battles among those that are getting set to move up to the next level in their MMA careers. Tier 2 fights are the Wars of the Newcomers; the fighters with little to no ring experience but highly touted and backed by professional MMA fighters and camps. The 3rd Tier is the MMA New England Warriors; fighters who are the backbone of the local fight scene. Drawing from his own experience, Belleton says he has set the contracts to put more money into the fighter’s pockets to allow them a better opportunity to train full time.

Among the Highlighted Fights:

The TUF-Choice Fight of the Night
The Ultimate Fighter: Team Mir vs. Team Nogueira contestant Karn Gregorian, who is undefeated and the current Extreme Fighting International Light-Heavyweight Championship, is headlining the night. He is scheduled to meet 8-2 Brett Chism who is on a 4 fight win streak, coming out of Valdosta Martial arts Center in Georgia. Chism was passed over during try-outs for The Ultimate Fighter show.

The Pro-Camps Battle of the Night
Famed UFC Coach Mark Dellagrotte’s Sityodtong camp is sending in 4-1 Eddie “The Sultan” Saldana to take on SouthShore Sportsfighting’s Jesse Peterson. Saldana has been training with WEC’s Mike Campbell, UFC’s Kenny Florian, and UFC Middleweight Champion Contender Patrick Cote, in preparation. Peterson’s camp includes WEC Red-Hot 145′er Josh Grispi, UFC & WEC Veteran Alex Karalexis, and EliteXC’s Bobby McMasters.
