I’m passionate about pomegranates. I know it seems silly, but one of my favorite memories of childhood was when my mom let me pick one out at the store and bring that juicy beauty home. I was (clearly) sort of a weird kid, but my mom indulged my desire to try every exotic fruit I could get my little hands on. Starfruit, persimmons, kiwi, and pomegranates were some of the things I discovered as a young girl that I still love today. If you’ve kept up with the trends in healthy foods over the last few years, no doubt you’ve…
I have been around this game for quite a while, and throughout this time I have always been intrigued by the way most Labs make up names for there products. I have to say that I have never been completely convinced of why they do so. The practice is almost similar to that of the naming of porn movies, or even the names people put on marijuana when they sell it. I got that cush bro, want some or I got that blueberry . Or on the other example , it’s like Harry Squater and The Escape From Ass-caban. Well…
Bodybuilding icon, personal trainer, boot camp instructor, iSatori Lean Systems Success Plan feature, GNC franchise owner, and SteroidsLive fan, Marina Lopez, shares a candid and honest perspective on the sport of bodybuilding. Competitive Roots Lopez’s lifelong passion for fitness and bodybuilding began as a teenager, lifting at Johnson’s Recreation Center in Denver with her Aunt Joann, following the Gladys Portugues’s Hard Bodies and Rachel McLish’s Flex Appeal. She was inspired by McLish and Portugues; “Both of these ladies were very sexy and appealing women. Their muscularity was apparent, but not overbearing. More importantly they maintained their femininity. They combined beauty…

Couch Potato Blitz: Week 14 Fantasy Edition Week 14 of fantasy football marks the start of the playoffs for most of us – no need to panic; you’ve come to the right place. Although I will be advising you on who to start this weekend, the best advice I can give you is to go with who got you here. Don’t entirely jump off the bandwagon of a player because he had a rough week, or a couple of down weeks. If I don’t address your fantasy football concerns in this edition, please contact me via Twitter and we can…
Coach Potato Blitz: Week 14 Predictions Week 14 marks the final quarter of the NFL season. Mathematically, all of the divisions are still subject to change depending on the final four weeks, so I’m titling this week, “The Road Win Frenzy.” I have selected 11 road teams to be victorious this weekend. My strong suit this season has been picking the winners of the toughest games, though last week I was 1 of 4. I’m confident that won’t happen again. I got the Cowboys right, but missed with the selections of the Buccaneers, Ravens, and Jets. However, Indianapolis Colts @…

For the second consecutive season Urban Meyer resigns as the Florida Gators head football coach. Last season it was more-so due to health related issues and only lasted one day before he announced an indefinite leave of absences – Meyer returned for spring practices this season. At age 46, Meyer made no hints about his health, but a desire to spend more time focusing on his family. This announcement comes off of his worst season as the Gators head man: 7-5. The University of Florida released a statement on Wednesday citing his reasons which mainly centered around focusing more on…
We’re sitting at home last night and my wife turns to me and says, “When did Marky Mark go from the Funky Bunch to respected actor? How is that even possible?” Honestly, I don’t know the answer, but from “Good Vibrations” all the way to “The Italian Job,” “The Departed,” and “Max Payne” he’s been ripped. Remember when he was just some dude with no shirt in his music videos? Man, now I sound old. Today, he’s putting his physique back in action with a turn in “The Fighter.” If you’ve seen the trailers it’s pretty obvious stuff. He plays…
On Monday the Denver Broncos confirmed rumors that Josh McDaniels has been fired. McDaniels became the Broncos head coach last season and got off to a 6-0 start. Since that time the Broncos have lost 17 of their last 20 games. Last week, Broncos owner, Pat Bowlen announced that McDaniels would be the head coach for the 2011 season. These comments were released after the league fined McDaniels $50K for videotaping a 49ers practice while the two teams were in London. McDaniels continues the trend of coaches being fired during the season, becoming the third such coach this year. The…
