It ain’t gonna be all peaches, sunshine and roses when the Packers and the Vikings face off on Monday night.  The Packers and the Vikings already hate each other (kind of like the French and the Germans…only a whole lot more) and now the Packers have even greater reason to hate the Vikings and the Vikings fans get to gloat because they got the first-ballot Hall of Famer AND he made a miracle play last week (to a guy who’s name he didn’t know.)  Needless to say, that’s the marquee matchup of the week. We’ve got some weird games going…

The lunge stretch is a favorite by many athletes and is by far the most useful of stretches for these four muscles. Start out by merely placing your body in a standard lunge position, and gradually press down and slowly back toward and through to your heels as you drop your knee to the floor. The most useful and helpful move in this stretch is to push downward into the hips while stretching. By doing so you open up the flexors a bit more, thus you achieve a deeper and more effective stretch. Breathe normally while you stretch and try…

Aaaahhhhhh, Saturday is almost here and that means one thing this time of year…College Football! Based on the picture I bet you’re assuming that OU vs. The U is my marquee matchup this week…you would be right.  I’ll get to them later, though, because we have alot of other intriguing games going on this week. (22)Michigan @ Michigan State Noon Michigan needs to stay on a roll and Michigan State needs to get it together at Michigan’s expense. The tale of the tape here will lay with Tate Forcier.  If he goes and he’s at least 75%, the Michigan wins.…

It is tough to add muscle to the body because it requires a lot of time and effort. Most guys want that toned broad look, and sadly, not all of us were blessed with killer abdominals, chiselled calves, and bulging biceps. Not everyone is a fan of the gym either. For those men who are very thin and have a natural fast metabolism, it is tough to build muscle on a lean frame, but it is achievable with patience and determined focus. It is important to change the diet. Yes, the metabolism is fast but that does not give a…

The Baseball Regular Season is coming to a close with the Braves fighting the Rockies for the NL Wild Card and the Twins and Tigers duking it out for the AL Central.  Other than that it’s all downhill into the playoffs.  So, let’s get right to awards.  (Yes, I still don’t think the Braves will catch the Rockies and I think pigs will fly before the Twins catch the Tigers.  There, I said it.) The Awards of 2009 AL MVP – I’m giving this one to Zach Greinke even though it will probably go to Joe Mauer.  I know Mauer’s…

I was thinking, I have been asked my opinion a lot lately on how I feel about the raid on BB.com , and to be honest I am still not sure. I personally don’t spend anytime on that site, because it is really not my type of forum, not that it is bad or anything. It is just not my cup of tea. I do have to say though , it is a massive misuse of Law Enforcement resources, and for what, to disrupt the lives of citizens that for the most part follow the law.  If there was a…

What’s up people!? (Besides the fact that I was dead wrong on Miami and VT) I had a crazy sports week.  Baseball is finally coming to an end (the regular season anyways), college and pro football were crazy ridiculous, and we’ve even got the President saying he’s going to go to Denmark to make a pitch to the IOC for Chicago to get the 2016 Olympics.  This is going to be insane! A Conversation That Probably Happened After Virginia Tech beat the tar out of Miami on Saturday I watched as Randy Shannon and Frank Beamer met at mid-field to…

Plyometrics are exercises, which when performed build explosive power in the body. Athletes use this form of training to improve on their specific skill, but any fitness trainer can use plyometric training to build power through their muscles. Throughout these movements, muscles are tensed and then contracted rapidly, using the elasticity and strength of the muscles and its surrounding tissue to throw farther, jump higher, hit harder, or run faster, dependent on the training goal desired. Plyometric training increases the force or speed of muscular contractions. Examples of plyometric training include the burpee press-up: Up upright position, fall into press-up…

So here we are, back with the second part of this series. In case you didn’t read the first one, I’ll quickly brief you. This series is about foods that could help you gain without nescessarily having direct effects, or just being a new form of protein. So,  finally, we have reached the last of the series, the third part. It’s a crying shame, I was enjoying researching these foods and looking through science journals. Anyway, if you haven’t been around for the last two parts, I’ll quickly brief you. This series is about focusing on the nutrients that are NOT protein or carbohyrates, but instead the vitamins and other nutrients which matter to us alot aswell, but are often overlooked. And so, to conclude, here are the final 10 superfoods… 21. Walnuts Walnuts have an association with brains simply because they look like them…but thats not…
