October 18, Ben Weider suddenly died at the age of 85. He is known as one of the legendary founding fathers of modern bodybuilding together with his brother Joe Weider. Ben Weider was born in Montreal, Canada, on February 1st, 1923. Ben served as a dedicated lifetime president of International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) he co-founded with his brother in 1946.
