Today’s topic of the day is what is Nolvadex PCT?
If you want to pack 50 plus pounds of muscle mass onto your frame in a matter of months.
All you need to do is train hard in the gym, get plenty of rest, eat right, and use a quality whey protein supplement, right?
Wrong.
We hate to break it to you but gaining that much muscle mass, in that short amount of time.
Just will not be possible naturally, no matter how hard you train or how genetically gifted you are.
Sure, you can make some impressive gains naturally.
But if you want to truly take your physique to the next level.
You need to be willing to do whatever is necessary to succeed.
For many, that means turning to the dark side and using androgenic anabolic steroids, or AAS for short.
Steroids have been used for bodybuilding purposes, aesthetics, and performance-enhancing purposes for a number of decades now.
In fact, during the 1970s, which many consider being the golden era of bodybuilding.
Steroids were used as commonly as creatine and protein powders are used today.
Back then they were legal, but nowadays, as we know much more about them, and because they are so much more powerful, things are very different.
Steroids are now illegal and are considered to be a controlled substance, and for good reason.
Today we’re not focussing on a steroid cycle, but rather on what you should do after your steroid cycle has ended.
Today we’re looking at what is Nolvadex, in an attempt to tell you as much about this drug as possible.

Before we can start talking to you about Nolvadex and what it does.
We first need to let our feelings be known on the use of anabolic steroids.
You see, steroids are very dangerous, and if they are abused or used incorrectly.
They could literally prove to be fatal.
Steroids have claimed many lives in the past, and sadly, they will probably do the same in the future too.
By understanding how steroids work, and how to utilize them correctly, however, we can help to significantly reduce the number of people negatively affected by steroid abuse.

PCT is an important aspect of any steroid cycle, so let’s take a look at Nolvadex, shall we?
What Is Nolvadex PCT?
Nolvadex is a SERM, or a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator that is commonly used as part of PCT, or Post Cycle Therapy when a steroid user finishes running a steroid cycle.
Nolvadex is one of two hugely popular drugs used as part of PCT, with the other being Clomid, which we have discussed in a previous article and also you can read about Clomid Vs Nolvadex.
Nolvadex is considered to be more powerful and more potent than Clomid.
Though as part of PCT, the two drugs are still often stacked together and used in conjunction with one another.
Now, Nolvadex, or Nolva, as it is sometimes known, is classed as an Estrogen antagonist.
This means that it is designed to negate the ill-effects associated with excess Estrogen within the body.
Despite this, however, it can also function as an estrogen agonist.
So it may function in the same way as Estrogen does within the human body.
Nolvadex is the brand name for the drug, which is officially known as Tamoxifen Citrate.
Despite being used as a key ingredient in any PCT cycle, Nolva is also used for medicinal purposes as it has been used to treat some forms of breast cancer.
It functions in this instance by stopping cancer in the breast from spreading.
As it blocks the effects of estrogen within the breast tissue.
Just because Nolvadex is used as part of PCT, however, that does not mean that the drug itself is actually an anabolic steroid because it isn’t.
Nolvadex is designed to help restore the body’s natural hormone levels after a steroid cycle.
It helps to prevent side effects such as gynecomastia and testosterone suppression, and it could potentially help save lives.
Nolvadex For Gyno:
Gyno, or gynecomastia, is one of the most common side effects associated with anabolic steroid use.
While Gyno is not considered to be particularly dangerous.
It can have devastating consequences for a person’s self-confidence.
You see, gynecomastia is a condition caused by steroid use, which results in testosterone aromatizing into Estrogen.
Excess Estrogen in a male body promotes feminine characteristics such as the growth of breast tissue.
That’s right, steroids can actually cause men to grow breasts.
In most cases, gyno simply results in men storing small lumps of fat on and around the nipples or experiencing puffy nipples.
People try to claim that gyno can be reversed by simply losing fat and toning your pectoral muscles.
But that is not true.
If you suffer from gyno as a result of steroid use, the only way to have it taken care of is to undergo surgery.
Rumour has it that in late 1998 and early 1999, Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
Who was just coming into his prime in the WWE, actually had to undergo gynecomastia surgery, which many beliefs were down to steroid use?
The Rock, who used to wrestle in wrestling trunks, wrestled much of early 1999 in a black tracksuit, presumably to hide the scarring/bandages from his surgery.
The Rock has verified in the past that he had surgery on his pecs, though he has stated that it was simply lipo.
Either way, if you experience gyno, surgery is the only way to get your chest back to normal.
Why Nolvadex?
Nolvadex helps to prevent the aromatization of testosterone into Estrogen, and can, therefore,
help prevent gyno and other similar Estrogenic side effects.
Clomid is considered to be more beneficial for some of the general side effects associated with steroid use, but when it comes to the gyno, Nolva is ideal.
Nolvadex Benefits:
Now that we’ve looked at what Nolvadex is and at how it is beneficial when it comes to gynecomastia.
We will now take a look at a few common benefits associated with using Nolvadex as part of your PCT.
When answering the question of what is Nolvadex.
Understanding the benefits this drug can provide is very important.
Some of the main benefits of using Nolvadex include:
1. Prevents Gyno
Yes, we know we’ve just looked at how Nolvadex can prevent gynecomastia.
But as it is one of the main benefits that this drug can provide.
We felt it necessary to include it once again.
Gynecomastia is the growth of breast tissue in men.
In mild cases, it is characterized by the tenderness of the nipples but in extreme cases, fatty deposits resembling breast tissue will build up.
Nolvadex is one of the best drugs when it comes to PCT, but when it comes to preventing and/or treating gyno, Nolva cannot be beaten.
2. Restore Hormone Levels
Arguably the main reason why people run PCT after a steroid cycle, however, is to enable them to restore hormone levels back to what they were before they started using steroids.
Steroids are synthetic versions of testosterone and basically behave in the same way as testosterone.
The issue is that when you use steroids, your testosterone levels will be way, way higher than they would be normally.
Even if you naturally had high testosterone levels in your body.
The body senses these elevated levels of testosterone and thinks that it is producing too much and that something is wrong.
It therefore panics and shuts down all testosterone production in the testes, as a way of safeguarding itself from any future damage.
This is fine when you’re using steroids because your testosterone levels will be so high.
When you come off cycle, however, your testes are often still unable to produce any further testosterone.
Some men who fail to run PCT after a steroid cycle will be forced to see a doctor and receive testosterone replacement therapy for the rest of their lives.
PCT works by restoring your hormone levels back to what they were at before you began using steroids.
3. Easy To Take
Nolvadex, although used during a steroid cycle, or at least, at the end of a steroid cycle, is actually much easier to take than most steroids.
There are no painful injections to endure, you simply swallow the tablets orally as you would if you were taking a headache tablet or a vitamin supplement.
Needless to say, there are far fewer risks associated with taking a tablet when compared with injecting your body with a sharp needle.
Another very important benefit associated with using Nolvadex during your PCT is the fact that it will help you to avoid other potentially dangerous side effects associated with steroid use.
Nolvadex will help to prevent acne,
It will help regulate your blood pressure it will help maintain healthy cholesterol levels,
It will prevent greasy skin and hair loss and will help keep you as fit and healthy as you can possibly be, following a steroid cycle.
4. Stress-Reducing
After finishing a steroid cycle, cortisol levels in the body are often elevated.
Cortisol is a stress hormone that causes us to feel stressed and agitated.
It can suppress the immune system, can cause spots and blemishes, and can even leave you feeling depressed.
Cortisol also naturally slows down the production of testosterone.
Needless to say, cortisol in the body is generally not wanted, and this is where Nolvadex can help.
Nolva can help to prevent cortisol production and can, therefore, help to beat stress and to promote rest and relaxation.
Nolvadex Side Effects:
Although Nolvadex is considered to be extremely good for you and beneficial, and despite how safe it is.
Like other drugs and medications, there are still a number of side effects that users will need to be wary of.
These include, but are not limited to:
1. Stomach Upset
If you have a sensitive stomach and/or suffer from digestive issues, Nolvadex is something that you will need to be careful around.
Nolvadex has been known to lead to an upset stomach.
And can, therefore, cause issues like stomach cramps, bloating, stomach ache, gas, flatulence, diarrhea, and constipation.
Not everybody will experience stomach upset and digestive issues when using Nolvadex.
But if you are prone to digestive issues, this is something you will need to watch.
2. A headache
A Headache is another common side effect of Nolvadex use and in terms of what is Nolvadex.
A headache is perhaps the most common side effect you’ll have to deal with when using either Clomid or Nolva.
If you experience a headache, take pain-relieving tablets, drink some water, and try to go to sleep and ride it out.
Generally, headaches may only be pretty mild, though some may experience more severe ones.
3. Hot Flushes
Hot flushes are also common when running Nolvadex as part of your PCT, and while in the winter they may not be as bothersome.
In the summer when the weather is hot, getting to sleep at night can be a bit of an issue.
Try to keep as cool as possible when using Nolva, and perhaps consider sleeping with a fan if the heat really is bothering you.
Nolvadex Dosage:
Before we call it a day, as we’re talking about what is Nolvadex PCT.
We need to finish up by looking at dosage info if you plan on using this drug as part of your post cycle therapy.
For medical purposed 10mg – 20mg per day is recommended.
For PCT purposes, however, Nolvadex should be used for 4 weeks.
For the first week, it should be consumed at 40mg per day.
For weeks 2 and 3 it should be consumed in 20mg per day, and for week 4 it should be consumed at dosages of 10mg per day.
