Shaquille O’Neal (C) for the Cavaliers is going to miss the next game and possibly the game after that one. He has already missed three games this season, because of injuries. This time around it’s his shoulder. “Shaq” was just a boy when he was drafted into the NBA. Is his, now, much older body telling him that its time to hang-up and retire his jersey? The legal separation between he and his wife of seven years, may not have the best timing for “Shaq.” My thoughts are….if these injuries continue to plague his close to aging NBA career….well reconciliation between “Shaq” and his wife may be in the game cards. Anyone, who has been married longer than seven years, knows that the seven-year itch is real. So, “Shaq”….you and your wife need to get over it, move on and raise your family….together !
Who is J.J. Hickson? If you’ve never heard of him before now….he is…. shooting the ball straight into the basket of fame. Hickson, a rookie player for the Cavaliers has an average of 20 points per game. He played one season of basketball at NC State, before being drafted into the NBA. Lebron James had better keep one eye open, because this young player has only just begun to display his true talent. Is Lebron James going to jump onto another noble horse? Rumors and questions are continuing to stand at attention on the front lines of sports gossip.
The entire world is watching, waiting and anticipating the results of the international World Cup of Soccer (MLS) berth eliminations. An Irish soccer player (#12) is, now, the most hated soccer player in Ireland. While playing an elimination game against France….he, somehow, managed to sneak in the use of one hand in order to stop the ball to score. For whatever reason…. the referee did not catch him doing this. It was, immediately, brought to the attention of the referee. After reviewing the instant replay of the game winning play ….the referee took the winning point away from Ireland and declared France the winner. Any use of hands in the game of soccer is not allowed. We Americans should re-evaluate our non-use of instant replay cameras in our games of futbol/football. No, that’s right….we don’t have it!
