    SHRUG IS

without tilting your shoulder forward (keep them back in other words) try to touch your ear lobes with your shoulders (it is not possible, but that is what you should be doing mentally).

Highly recommend you to do them right after deads so you do not even have to warm up.

I also recommend you get THE INSIDER’S TELL-ALL HANDBOOK ON WEIGHT TRAINING TECHNIQUE by Stuart McRobert.

I like to do high pulls for traps as well.

Basically it is a deadlift and once above the knee you explode upward and try to drive the bar through your nose. You will need alot of weight or you really will drive it through your nose and will have to go to hospital!

3 warm up sets and 8 working sets of 3 – 5 reps should get a good burn….

Here’s my Favorite Delt routine, inspired by Arnold and partly by Jay Cutler

    Arnold Presses – 3 sets 12,10,10
    Cable Side Laterals – 4 sets 15,15,12,12
Bent Over Cable Laterals – 3 sets 15 reps each

Behind the Back Shrugs on Smith Machine
    Superset with > 4 sets 15-20 reps
Smith Machine Shrugs to the Front

    Hammer Strength Deadlift Machine Shrugs
    3 sets 15 reps

I don’t know what it would do you for you, but it kicked my ass today!

upright cable rows are good for both shoulders and traps. Close grip to work more traps and wider grip to work more shoulders.
