Anabolic steroids are synthetic substances related to the male sex hormones, androgens. They increase growth of the skeletal muscles and the development of male hormones such as testosterone. Steroids will also the following side effects which may not be noticeable until they are causing serious problems:

  • dizziness mood swings, including anger, aggression, and depression
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • trembling high blood pressure that can damage the heart or blood vessels
  • aching joints
  • greater chance of injuring muscles
  • ligament damage
  • liver damage
  • shortening of final adult height

Steroids are becoming more common in weight training than ever before, yet people do not realize the dangers of using such performance enhancing drugs. Using steroids will not only produce a different physique than a naturally trained person. Never let yourself be pier pressured into using steroids, their will always be someone trying to force you into using “gear”. Sometimes being strong on the outside does not make you strong on the inside, be strong on the inside and say NO!!! sometimes that can be the strongest thing in the world.
