Steroids And Reasonable Gains

I happen to have read a thread on a particularly respected steroid forum and felt like I should address what it

Don't get roid advice from him

said.  The 2 statements that caught my eye were , 1. He wanted to gain 25-30 pounds on a 12 week cycle, and 2. was going to add Arimidex to his cycle because he had heard that it increases the amount of test in his body while on cycle.  These statements bothered me for 2 reasons, first they were ideas acquired from bullshit talk around his gym, and secondly yes they hold some truth but commonsense could easily give him a sense that neither is really needed.

So I will start with the first issue, 25-30 pounds added in 12 weeks.  While I do recognize that it is very possible to do,  I ask how practical it is.  Let me start with the obvious, most steroids that put mass on you that fast don’t stay, and water weight is always an issue with such high powered steroids.  This is when I get irritated with the young juicer, always looking for the quick fix ( taking shortcuts is a sign of laziness), quick gains are normally followed by the immediate withdrawal from the gym.  And without further lifting there is no way to maintain such muscle so in a few months they are back where they started, and sometimes worse off then before because the extra weight turns to fat.  This leads to repetition of the previous behavior.  Bodybuilders didn’t get such an awesome physique from one cycle and Rome wasn’t built in a day.  I have a hard time getting younger , newer members to the steroid world to understand this.  Normally the steroids that give reasonable lean mass gains are the one that are very maintainable, and keeping your gains after your off cycle is the point.  Isn’t it?  With these compounds usually accompany less side effects and seem a lot more mild on the system then the other option.  So not only do you stay healthier you keep your gains, that seems like a win win situation.  But many refuse to see the obvious. If you keep your gains and then after a reasonable amount of time off you cycle again, you will be that much bigger, and the gains will be of better quality.  So how is this a bad idea to anyone?  To the know-it-all younger members of this group, it becomes a taboo idea, to be patient.  The Quick Fix never works period.  Next the use of Arimidex while on cycle to increase test is just plain a bad idea.  Why do you need more test in your body while you are on anabolic steroids?  Your taking some form of Test so why would the minor increase be worth it?  It goes back to my original point, The Quick Fix.  Please stop listening to random idiots who swear they know so much about steroids yet can’t list off any of there possible side effects or what they are used for, and the type of gains that should follow use of.  Even then unless they have some kind of education in that field, beware.  So many stupid ideas have originated in a gym from the mouth of a moron who never even cycled properly, so be careful who you get your advice from.  Safety is the key.

yes i also find that this is a general problem
with steroid information, so many people not post bad and incorrect information and this missinformation is often passed on as to futher missinform the researcher,
it is so important to do your own research i have found.
